Every Ending Leads to a New Beginning...

After 11 incredible years, Authentically You Hair will be closing its doors on Friday 28th August.

This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make. Over the past few weeks, many of you have been asking questions, especially since Mum (Lorraine) left the salon, and I felt it was time to share the news with you properly.

After 26 years in hairdressing, I’ve decided it’s time for a new chapter. I’m stepping away from full-time hairdressing to pursue a career in education, helping to train and inspire the next generation of hairdressers and barbers. Alongside that, I’ll finally be fulfilling a lifelong dream of completing a degree in Classical Studies.

Mum has also begun an exciting new chapter of her own by returning to education, and Polly is taking some well-deserved time to enjoy these precious years with her son as he starts primary school.

But while one chapter is ending for us, several exciting new ones are just beginning.

I'm incredibly proud that Daisy will be opening Colneford Studio this September in White Colne. She has been such an important part of Authentically You, and I genuinely couldn't think of anyone better to carry its warmth, care and values into the future.

I'm equally excited that Nicole (ND Beauty) will also be embarking on her own journey, moving into her very own studio contact her HERE. Watching both of them take this next step is something I'm incredibly proud to see.

I truly hope you'll continue to support both Daisy and Nicole just as you've supported all of us over the past 11 years.

For those of you with appointments, please don't worry. Every appointment booked throughout August will be honoured as planned. 

If you have an appointment booked from September onwards, Daisy will be in touch, or you can contact her via @ColnefordStudio to confirm your appointment at her new salon. Nicole's beauty clients will be contacted directly with details of her new studio.

To Daisy, Nicole, Polly and Lorraine—thank you. None of this would have been possible without your friendship, loyalty, hard work and unwavering support. Each of you has played such an important part in Authentically You's story. Together, we've created something that has always been so much more than a salon. We've created a family.

And to every single client who has walked through our doors… thank you.

Thank you for trusting me, for sharing your lives with me, for the laughter, the tears, the milestones, the conversations and the friendships we've built together. So many of you have been with me from the very beginning, and that is something I will never, ever take for granted.

This isn't the ending I imagined when I first opened Authentically You over a decade ago, but it is one I can look back on with immense pride, gratitude and love.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making Authentically You everything it became.
